I was seated in a heated patio immediately upon arrival. I was meeting two friends, and while they arrived later than I did, I was served a beverage and tended to during the waiting period. Once they got there, they served right away, and our drinks came out quickly. Since it was a Monday, my friend ordered the margarita special, and said it was delicious. She has celiac, and is gluten free, so we came here for their gluten free chicken sandwich! Parking is street parking, but otherwise a very family friendly place. Can't wait to go back.

I love The Golden Hoosier! I have ordered take out and have eaten in many times. Service is always fun/kind/on top of it. Food: Buffalo Chicken Dip is to die for! I have to get it each time I'm in. For my meals, I usually go Bacon Jam or Fried Chicken Sandwich. The rosemary parmesan fries are super tasty too. Drinks: so many options, you can't go wrong! It had a cool, eccentric vibe with lots of seating options (booths are my preference). Street parking is plentiful around on side streets. Check out Pipers next door too if you're in the mood for a coffee!

I have driven by the Golden Hoosier countless times but I was hesitant to visit based off the name alone. lol My friend has been multiple times and she swears by the food so for a girls night, we went so that I could finally try it. The decor isn't my type of vibe but the food and drinks?!?! 10 out of a 10! We started off with drinks and she had a lemon drop and I ordered a pinky promise. Omg they were so good! She recommended that I try the Pinky Promise and I can now say that I will be ordering it every time that I come back to visit. lol She also said that I just HAD to try the Bacon Jam Burger and the Tandoori Wings and when I tell you that there wasn't a crumb left?!?! Listen... I have never had Tandoori Wings before and eating them with the banana pepper really take them to the next level. They were soooo good! That Bacon Jam Burger was so good in fact that I didn't even have to add any ketchup or mustard. Eating it the way it is was absolutely perfect and those Parmesan Truffle Fries were super tasty. The food, drinks, and the service at The Golden Hoosier were everything and if you were hesitant to try this place, take this as your sign to check them out because I promise that you won't be disappointed.

Food, vibes, cocktails. Everything a man needs. Inundated with taxidermy, the eerie, gothic, and somehow intimate interior is both alluring and captivating. Came in with my buddy for some friday evening cocktails and grub. We were fortunate enough to sit on their patio. It was heated, and absolutely perfect. It mimics a state parks from the signage to the picnic tables to the fire pit. This is an elite STL patio. For drinks I had to get an old fashioned (fabulous mr fox) which was great. And, they use clear ice which is integral to controlling dilution while maintaining drink temperature; bravo. The en fuego is their version of a spicy marg. Delicate, spicy, and everything you need from a spicy marg. Loved both of them. For grub we went with wings and I got a chicken sandwich with those beautiful fries. The wings came out super quick. The buffalo sauce was great, and the wings were tender, but I did want the skin to be a bit crispier. I am not sure if we maybe got a bad batch or if that is their style. Nonetheless, they were still solid. The chicken sandwich and fries were superb. Crispy, spicy, and so flavorful. Perhaps I am jaded because it has been months since I have had a chicken sandwich, but this thing was great. Of course, crispy shoe string fries have my heart. These things are fire. A bit of rosemary accompanies the parmesan. Oh, so wonderful. This place is a must visit for locals and visitors alike. If I am not back within the next 3 weeks I will be radically disappointed in myself. Get out there. Enjoy the vibes, enjoy the drinks, enjoy the dead animals staring you down, lol!

The Golden Hoosier is one of the best places in STL if you're craving a burger. I got the Hoosier burger with extra 1000 island dressing on the side for an extra saucy burg. The tomato on the burger was so crisp and fresh and their burgers are so juicy. Their fries are unmatched and I love that they automatically come with a side of ranch. They really know how to make a cocktail here too! One of the best margaritas EVER (not syrupy) and the outside part during the fall is so cute. We waited for a table with a drink by the campfire and sat outside for dinner at one of their picnic tables

Visiting from Idaho and let me tell you....absolutely great place. The food was 10/10. Drinks 10/10. Service 10/10. Such a cool vibe in here. You can dress up if you want or keep it casual and still feel comfortable. Spicy margarita: such a smooth and tasty margarita. Presentation won over my heart. This is a must have. Chicken sandwich: get it tossed in buffalo sauce. You can thank me later. The melt: outstanding

Personally, I'm not a huge fan of the taxidermied animals covering the walls , but the burger was enjoyable. Our sever told us the owner is a collector, hence the animals and ornate frames and mirrors throughout. It's dimly lit, and has a good, chill neighborhood bar vibe. I ordered the beyond burger with tomato, onion, lettuce and pickles. It's simple, but it was well-cooked. I always appreciate having vegan options on the menu. It's not gonna blow you away, but it satisfies a burger craving. My side was the veggie of the day (it seems that it's often asparagus). It tasted like it was cooked in garlic salt and olive oil. My sister and her husband had the sweet potato fries, which they rave about. If I go back, I'll definitely try those. I'm also interested to try their veggie chili.

Awesome place. Love the ambiance and decor. Came in for burgers last night and we weren't disappointed. The bar was rocking! To start, buffalo chicken dip and Fritos were a large portion for 2. Dip comes cold and was loaded with chicken. Super good. Felt like I was at a Super Bowl party- heck yeah. For entrees we got the melt with rosemary fries and the bacon jam burger with sweet potato fries. Both came out in record time, I'm not joking maybe 5-10 minutes from when we ordered. Best service ever. Both burgers were killer. Fresh, large portions, tons of flavor. The fries were both excellent as well- love the rosemary on the regular fries. The garlic aioli that the sweet potato fries come with is delicious. All around 10/10! Didn't try the drinks this time, but have heard good things so definitely will be back!

My friends and I stopped by The Golden Hoosier for post-dinner drinks on the patio. As the Old Fashioned is my favorite drink, I couldn't just order one and ended up getting all three to share between our group. Each of the Old Fashioned were unique in their own manner and just as described. I especially enjoyed the coffee version, closely followed by the banana version. As we just had dinner, we did not end up ordering any food. We did however, order a s'mores kit for $5, which comes with exactly one marshmallow, a single block of Hershey's chocolate, one graham cracker and a skewer. Don't mess up on your marshmallow (or splitting the cracker in half) because you're going to be paying $5 for another set if you do. I love the National Park theme of the bar and the outdoor fire ring with real logs added a great touch to the whole theme. There's also a cool National Park themed sign out on the patio you can take a photo at. Meanwhile, on the inside, there's plenty of taxidermy mounted on every wall. Overall, this bar offers a really chill vibe, has great drinks at reasonable prices, and I'd highly recommend stopping by if you're in the area.
